Creole liver(a family favorite for 40 years!)
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- diced green pepper - 1/3 c
- chili powder - 1/8 tsp
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
- to 5 slices bacon, diced - 4 item
- 1/4-inch beef liver - 1 lb
How to make creole liver(a family favorite for 40 years!):
Saute bacon in skillet until nearly crisp. Remove bacon and set aside. Dredge liver with flour and brown in bacon fat with the diced onions. Add bacon and all the remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serves 4 to 5.Recipe categories: Main dish.
