German chocolate upside-down surprise cake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- pkg - 8 oz
- water
- oil - 1/3 c
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- margarine or butter, melted - 1 c
- Pillsbury Plus German chocolate cake mix - 1 pkg
- powdered sugar about 1 lb
How to make german chocolate upside-down surprise cake:
Heat oven to 375°. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle coconut and pecans evenly over bottom of greased pan.In large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil and eggs at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at high speed. Spoon batter over coconut and pecans evenly.
In another large bowl, combine powdered sugar, margarine and cream cheese. Beat until creamy. Spoon over batter to within 1-inch of edges. Bake at 375° for 43 to 53 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into squares. Invert each square onto individual plates. Serve warm or cool. Store in refrigerator. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
