German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- potatoes, cooked, peeled, and sliced - 10 lbs
- bacon - 1 lb
- celery, chopped - 2 C
- onion, chopped - 1 C
- vinegar - 1/2 C
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 item
How to make german potato salad:
Fry bacon till crisp. Chop into small bits. Add some of bacon grease to potatoes. Saut?© onion, celery in remaining grease. Then mix with potatoes and bacon. Add water to skillet with vinegar and sugar. Don't make it too sweet! Simmer for a few minutes. Add a bit of cornstarch to thicken.
