Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- 1 oz - 1 sq
- 3 oz
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
How to make swedish butter star cookies:
Chocolate Dip:3 sq. (3 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate1 sq. (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate2 Tbsp. shortening Cookie Dough: Mix first 3 ingredients. Add flour. Chill 1 hour. Roll out to 1/4-inch thick. Cut with star cookie cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool.Chocolate Dip: In double boiler, combine all ingredients. Stir to melt. Remove from heat to dip cookies. Reheat, if necessary.
Dip cookies, covering 3 tips of the star. Place cookies on edge of cookie sheet to harden chocolate.
